Sermons by Don Walker

Don Walker (1957-2019) served as Preacher at Lake Country Church of Christ (see our Sermon Archives) and was also full time instructor at the Southwest School of Bible Studies until January 2016, when he became Dean of Academics for the Memphis School of Preaching in Memphis, TN.

In 2018 Don became the Director of the Southwest School of Bible Studies(SWSBS) in Austin, Texas. Don graduated from the Southwest School of Bible Studies in 1979, and also studied at Texas State University and Abilene Christian University.

Don preached for churches in Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas, where he spent thirteen years as the preacher for the Shenandoah church of Christ in San Antonio. Don’s experience in ministry training was extensive, having served as an instructor for the Brown Trail School of Preaching, the Southern California School of Evangelism, and Southwest School of Bible Studies. He was a frequent speaker for lectureships and served for thirteen years as the director for the Annual Shenandoah Lectureship. Don wrote extensively for brotherhood publications and conducted mission work in Costa Rica, Bermuda, Jamaica, South Africa, and the Czech Republic, and also was involved with television and radio work including his weekly “Word of Life” radio Bible study on KLBJ in Austin, Texas.
