6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind..
Summary
-Timothy was in his mid to early 30’s in age.
-Here Paul is encouraging Timothy to be an example for others.
-Miracles have ceased and the miraculous gift that Paul refers to of “laying on of my hands” to Timothy does not exist today, i.e. no one today can do that.
-Nevertheless, each of us has God given ability that we can use to serve the Lord and further his Kingdom.
-Don’t be shy to serve the Lord.
